Time to unwind
So last Thursday I strategically placed an air ticket to the Comoros on the middle of my girlfriends bed. And I spent the rest of the evening (and the following day, come to think of it) pinned to every piece of wall and furniture in the apartment... :)
I’ve been keeping her in suspense for the last, oh, 3 months about where exactly we’re going. All I mentioned was that it would be greatly advised if she took off from work for the week between the 25th of this month and the 2nd of October. Every Saturday she was given one hint, which only served to confuse her even more!
Needless to say, I’m quite looking forward to it myself.
And that sound you just heard was my stock price still going through the roof! :)
In other news, I have a friend down from the UK for about 3 months. She’s doing this whole World Tour thing, having rolled through Bali and Thailand already. I felt compelled to introduce her to the rest of the crew and blow her mind with our spectacular town! The weather really really played along also and clubs, pubs, steaks, cocktails and sun was the order of things. I think she can get to love it here :)
I’ve been hitting the gym again (for the first time in months) and I almost forgot what amazing things it does for your energy levels. I also almost forgot how shitty studying is! It’s not all that bad, it’s just that in order to write certain exams you HAVE to do it the M$ way. Kinda like doing your drivers licence. No (sane) person will ever drive like that in real life, but in order to get that little green plastic card you have to do what you have to do. Takes all the fun outta it.
With my spare time, I still hit some crack-craft (a.k.a World of Warcraft). I finished up GTA: San Andreas and man(!!) did that game rock! I would soooo fucking love to see some form of multiplayer for this, I quite enjoyed fragging each other way back in GTA 1.
Otherwise, Dungeon Siege 2, Sudeki and Fable are almost too tasty to comprehend. All of them are of the RPG variety and none can be played half-arsed. I actually managed to get my girlfriend interested in Dungeon Siege! How cool is that?! Too bad she has to study so damn hard. I made her a promise I wont play this too often so that we can play it together. Got a nice little multiplayer workaround for local LAN’s, so we'll see. Looking forward to Neverwinter Nights 2 (when it get released in 2015, probably). In the meantime, I’m going to have to teach my Betty some 3rd Edition DND rules.
Roll a d20 for a kiss baby! That’s my girl :)
