iWhore

I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone that I am a little gadtget whore of
note, and yesterday was no exception. Since finding a nice, secure place to
hang my hat and some form of income, I decided it was time to kick back, relax, and go... SHOPPING!

I can totally see why chicks find this shit so theraputic. Problem is, I have
quite expensive tastes when I finally DO go out and do the nasty with my credit
card. I never, EVER buy on credit though. Momma always said: "if you can't
afford it out right, don't buy it". And well, who can argue with Momma? So to
celebrate my first up and comming pay cheque (the money hadn't cleared into my
account yet, at that stage, but a bit of fiath mixed with two tablets of Fuckitall killed off
any trepidations), I mosied on over to amazon.co.uk and bought me an Ipod. A
Black one. With a colour screen :)

Since then I've been "adding a soundtrack to my life", if you buy into the
whole marketing schpiel. But seriously though, it has made the drudgery that is
traveling London underground / Magic Schoolbus to work a whole lot more
bearable. Man, some days this town has more freaks per square inch than you can
shake a tazer at. I've also downloaded some AWESOME software to encode just
about any video down to iPod friendly format, so everyday I get to catch up on
my series (Scrubs, Prison break, Lost, Greys Anatomy, House, aw shit , you name
it) or maybe just catch the latest blockbuster dvd or whatever. I'm also
packing no less than 2 books everyday, just in case the battery gets tired. So this
way, I'm also catching up on a whole whole lot of reading. Heck, I've read about 8
books since I've been here!!

Next week, I think I'll pull the trigger on project Wolverine. I don't want to
give too much away, but let's just say that I'm definately gonna live up to my gadget queen / whore reputation :)

This weekend though, I've organised a little get together braai thingy. So
let's hope that works out.

[G], out
