And now,.. July

Posted by G-force

Yeah, on the cusp of the weekend, feeling quite good about that. Did quite a few cool things last weekend, come to think of it. Went boozing the Friday evening, cruised around Camden Market the Saturday and went out to a kick ass bar out in Covent Garden (the night England lost their game against Portugal, so I was super amped!!). It was a very good girlfriend of mine’s birthday, so we went pretty big. Very cool atmosphere, had a live band doing all sorts of covers, from Chilli Peppers to Lady Marmalade, they where absolutely rock-fucking-tastic! Did the BBQ thing on Sunday with said birthday girl and rest of crew.

Also had a heat wave sweep through London (if you consider 32 degrees a “heat wave”). I must admit, it was really humid, and due to the total lack of swimming pools or the extreme convenience of cruising down to, say, Camps Bay or Clifton it was quite a frustrating experience. Sleeping was the worst, cus the air doesn’t even move, and because the city can be a bit noisy, leaving the window open wasn’t always an option. Oh, and the human stench on busses and tubes was truly fantastic. And by fantastic, I mean fucking awful.

Anyhoo, think it’s past now… and enough about weather.

Going camping this weekend with some friends of a friend, just an hour out of London. Got a little 3 man tent and some basic kit lined up, going to check out a food and music festival. Should be a nice change of pace from the “lets go sightseeing here, or party there” scene. Just kick back, drink too much beer and do as little as possible.

Taking my camera with, so hopefully I’ll have a few nice pics to show for it. Oh, and the London Motor show is on this month!! Check it out. That is going to be AWESOME, we ain't talking a little convention at the Good Hope centre here. This is the shit I used to see and drool over on TV. This is the kind of shit I’m here to see and experience.

So all good, for now then. As you where.
