My early xmas present arrived yesterday, and it is glorious. And heavy! I knew what I was getting myself into though but having now having had the chance to fire some shots I can vouch that it’s very solid. Which is also its selling point. It’s no secret why these lenses are so damned expensive and solid construction and way high tech glass is part of the reason. The other parts include the fact that it’s moisture and dust tight… and chicks dig it (quite honestly, if there exists any better way to sell a product, I have yet to hear it).
Apart from the pleasing aesthetic yummieness of the lens, It delivers (with authority!!) on what it said it would, in that it allows you to capture the most astounding detail I have ever seen. Oh sure, I’ve seen other people’s work, people who also use “L” lenses. But this was a first for me. I’m looking forward to taking it for a spin this weekend. Heck, I may even share some pictures for change.
The Nintendo Wii (pronounced “wee”) is being launched today in the
The whole thing was designed to be accessible and intuitive and from everything I’ve read, they’ve nailed it. Anyone from the most l33t geek to a techno-phobic grandmother can pick it up and get going in no time flat. No fancy buttons to learn, no alien control system. What you see is what you get. Looking forward to picking one up when I get back from
Also check out this, this and this if you’re keen on checking out more.
I digress.
Apart from taking the camera out for a spin, I’ve jumped right back into Photoshop… and it’s a very humbling experience. And when I say humbling, I mean jaw-gnashingly-fucking-irritating. It’s no mspaint. I like mspaint. Why can’t it be more like mspaint? I am committed to the learning-curve though and have seen some results already so all good, all good.
What is it? We’ll, you’ll just have to wait and see :)
i look forward to your call
