Got back from Ct (again) on Tuesday. As usual, I was pretty stoked to be back. Something about my own spot, my own PC, my own couch always appeals to me.

But like I tell anyone that asks, it wasn't really a "holiday", as such. It was more like a scouting expedition. We realised quite soon after we got engaged that trying to organise a while wedding from Base London would have been an impossible task. How can we possibly get a feel for a venue, if we've never been there? So that's what we did, hitting up to 9 venues in a day! Fortune was with us though, since we managed to find what, as far as we're concerned, the perfect spot. Well prices, beautiful setting and the lady that runs the whole show is a peach! Very details oriented and super accomadating. And, as an added bonus, the "wife" found a wedding dress she likes! Well, half a wedding dress. More specifically, the bottom half. At least she has a good feel for the direction she's going, and in my mind that's 2 for 3 so far. "3" of course being the photographer, but I got one or two good leads on that too.

The biggest thing I've been struggling with is getting back into my flow. I had some crazy inspiration before the trip, for my photography and getting a decent website going, to my learning's and readings and what not. Dunno what's with me, I'm writing it off as jetlag J I reckon I need some inspiration again, it's all. What got me going a few weeks back (I think) was the awesome snowfall we had, enough to actually photograph and play with. It's a rare site in Central London, and I'm still working through all the pics.

On the pics front, I've really upped my game on Photoshop and bought a Wacom tablet (one of those pen-mouse things.). Granted, it's like the "Bamboo Fun" (yeah, weird weird product naming), but it's great and I love using it. Takes a lot to get used to though, but once I'm going, my productivity goes through the roof.

Got my copy of GTA IV (loving it) and gonna go see Iron Man tonight (will probably love it too). Looking forward to see Robert Downing Jr. back on screen. He's always been one of my favourite actors and I'm glad he got his shit together again, with rehab and all.

And besides, nothing like a good hero movie to get the creative cogs going again.

[G], out

Take it out on me
