kicking it old skool

been studying like a belland. My exam is scheduled for zero-nine to the a m this Friday. I've resigned myself to downloaded braindumps for it, not because I don't know this shit (I do, HONEST!!) but it's kinda like driving your car for the last 4 years and only now having to go do your K54 or whatever the fuck. If you don't learn the "blindspot, rearview, blindspot, indicate, wash, rinse, repeat" vibe you WILL fail dismally. I've made peace with the fact that there's the Real World way and then there's the Micro$oft way. It is what it is.

Been keeping busy otherwise. Been filling my free time with more beach, sand and ass you can shake a fish at, but it feels so... empty.

Dunno why. I don't think it's a lack of a GirlFriend-Unit(tm). Even the odd poppie I hang out with don't stimulate me at all (mentally, I mean). So i've been hiding behind a stack of books and of course my studies. Been reading alot of really really neat stuff though, the latest being more of a "why are we here / what is our purpose" variety, which is nice.

I do however suspect that this is the calm before the storm because DubaiBob is coming over around the 16 of next month and so is my good ol' buddy, ol' pal: the very esteemed BeefCake and his new Betty. Haven't seen them since I was over in the UK a while back (for their wedding, actually) and he hasn't been back here since, like 3 years, or some shit! Mix this with a healthy dose of leave I've accumalted (all 36 days of it), pre-heat Summer to about 30 degress and we are in for on helluva jol!

We had better warn Interpol.

Watched the Rugby with TranceNation last Saturday. During half-time, we hatched some plans for the Gathering on the 6th. They go all Camping on this motherfucker though, I'm not quite used to it like that. I usually go for an evening, get all messed up and go home to lick my wounds. Some might call me a lightweight, I prefer "Strategist".

But having kicked it in Amsterdam for 5 days straight during my UK tour, I'm feeling confident that I can take the punch. It'll be with a whole bunch of lekka people though, so I'm actually looking quite forward to it!

Plus, it's Vortex's (The guys that organise these Gatherings) 10th Birthday, so it should be massive!
